Anyway, it's Sunday night! Which means, another week to conquer :( But it's already August, which means I'm down to the last two months of internship! Can't believe that four months are over already.
Been able to clock in another two runs this week, which I'm happy to say of course! Trying to keep up with at least 2 runs a week and then I shall see whether I can push to 3 times a week! Anyway on Friday night I was at Javier's and we were making protein bars! Made with ingredients high in protein and as healthy (as we could find), these things taste really good!
Final product! My pictures look like shit cos they're all from my iPhone 4 unfortunately.
You start off with some oats for the dry ingredients
And some protein powder! hehe
Pour them together and mix them up!
As for the wet ingredients: peanut butter, milk, manuka honey
As well as dark chocolate
Vanilla essence, and coffee powder!
The wet ingredients are tossed into the microwave for it to melt and get mixed together, before pouring everything into a large mixing bowl and stirring it until it becomes this batter which is thick and sticky. Lay it on waxed paper over a pan or something! And we froze it for 30 minutes in the freezer and it was done! Easy aye ;)
Then on Saturday, had dinner with Javier's family because it was his dad's advanced birthday dinner! Buffet at Sheraton Towers in Newton, here's a photo of Javier, Joel, Rachel and I! Future in-laws, hopefully. Hehehe.
